Pimples are skin inflammations in which the oil glands (Sebaceous glands) are infected with bacteria, swell up and are filled up with pus.
People whose oil glands produce excess sebum secretions are more prone to pimples outbreaks. A pimple mostly occurs on the neck, face, shoulder and back.
While it is not a critical health condition, pimples have been shown to cause distress and discomfort in people.

Below are some home remedies to get rid of pimples

Garlic: Garlic has a good effect on the skin when applied directly. Each clove is enriched with antibacterial properties.
To apply, rub the garlic clove and its juice directly on your skin while focusing on the areas with pimples. Leave for up to 30 minutes for best results.

Egg whites: Applying egg whites on the skin is a great home remedy for getting rid of pimples. Make use of a cotton swab or your fingers to apply egg white on the areas with pimples. Leave the egg white on your skin for up to an hour for best results. This remedy will make your skin glow.

Steam: Besides being a recommended skin therapy for a glowing skin, steaming is a great treatment for pimples. Steam opens the skin pores and allows the skin to breath; this helps the skin get rid of bacteria, dirt, and oil.

Ice: Ice is used to quickly reduce the inflammations and swelling of pimples. The ice improves blood circulation to the affected area, tightens skin pores and releases accumulated dirt.

Honey: Honey is a gift of nature that can help you get rid of pimples quickly. Its antibiotic properties prevent infections and hasten the healing process.
Apply some honey directly on the affected area and leave in for an hour before washing off.

Banana peels: Rubbing a banana peel on your face can help reduce the inflammation and pain of swollen pimples.
Banana peels contain lutein, an extremely powerful antioxidant that reduces swelling and inflammation and encourages healthy cell growth.
