I'm sorry to hear this .How old is your baby and how many times a day is she stooling. Have you been giving her ors. If not please start giving her that.have you noticed any fever, any cough, any vomiting, any excessive crying or weakness...diarrhoea is fairly common in children.however the solution is not necessarily flagyl. I would advise you continue the ors and watch out for fevers , weakness, vomiting. She would also likely benefit from seeing a doctor now than later.

Ok. .so with children the number one thing we need to be weary about is dehydration. It can happen fast and get out of hand.so you should please commence the ors.Secondly for now avoid fruit juices and soft drinks as this may worsen the diarrhoea. A lot of times in children diarrhoea is of a viral cause hence antibiotics don't work. With regular ors diarrhoea will pass in about a few days. .luckily 3-4 times is not too often but I believe your child was generally not going this often before.,though 3 times a day is the medical cut off point, hence your worry. Lastly we do not usually approve of anti diarrhoeal medicines for children. So start the ors, if she develop any of the warning signs mentioned above or its in anyway getting worse. she will need to see a doctor who may examine and then test her for bacterial infections or malaria and treat her with antibiotics/antimalarials.All the best.hope this was helpful.Thank you for using kangpe and Good luck.
