Hello madam..it will be difficut to say for sure. There are many possible causes. May I ask a few question please? How long has it been going on? Is the pain at the entrance during insertion or on inside during deep penetration? Does the pain continue after sex? Have you got any unusual discharge Are you well lubricated b4 & during sex? What are your menses like? Are they painful and heavy? ever had children before and needing repair due to a tear? Its important to try to narrow down the possible causes.but answering these questions may give a clue. You will probably still need some tests too. Sorry about the many questions.Necessa

Hello again...Thank you for the answers. They help rule out a few things. The pain seems more like superficial dyspaneuria. In that class we may need to consider psychosocial factors, anatomic causes, things like lichen sclerosus. Ignore the big grammar. the next step seems like you will need an examination.Unfortunately I'm not in a position to do that. What I can advise is that if the ky gel helps, continue with that. start pelvic floor exercises -tighten your pelvic floor muscles like you want to owe..hold tight and count to 8 and relax and count to 10.Rrpeat it 10 times , 3 times a day. You need a gynaecologist to examine you

Okay, thanks for the feedback sir, i will appreciate if you can explain the psychosocial and lichen sclerosus better in a lay man language. Also i will appreciate if you can give the procedures to do the pelvic floor exercise. Thanks in anticipation.

Psychosocial factors can be complex. Sometimes for virgins fear of intimacy can cause pain due to low level of arousal. For some people with a history of sexual abuse, it can cause pain. Hightened level of anxiety can cause stress causing the pelvic floor muscles to tighten. Kegel exercise are done like this. That feeling of you wanting to hold urine...do it for 10 secs and then release it for another 10 secs.Do this 10 times in the morning ,afternoon and night. People who have been circumcised can have pain. lichen sclerosus is not common in your age group..it causes itching and white patches around the vagina and leads to pain.

Oh! kegel exercise, I've read about it before. I think its the low arousal coupled with the fact that i was circumcised. Thanks Sir, i will try and see a gynaecologist before the week runs out all things being equal.

Good day sir, please i want to know what could cause sperm to come out of the vagina after sex even while lying down
    Dr. Adedayo A answered:
Hello madam....the vagina looks like a drinking glass upside down.At the bottom of the glass is a tiny hole. Now, imagine you have this glass upside down(or on its side) & you open a hose of water into it.You will agree with me that only very little of water will pass through the tiny hole. The rest MUST pour out.I can confidently tell you(as a doctor and husband myself) that what you have asked is absolutely Normal and happens to ALL women in the WORLD .The little semen that is needed to fertilize the egg would have gone through that tiny hole we call the neck of the womb or cervix. It's perfectly normal& does not prevent pregnancy.

Thanks for the feedback sir, i thought its not normal. This take me to my next question, please sir i will like to know if the semen can travel far even if its not a full penetration.
    Dr. Adedayo A answered:

Hello again.....sorry for the late reply....Yes once semen is deposited into the Vagina...the sperm are very good swimmers and can swim into the cervix and up to the tubes to find the egg or eggs.

hello..they are probably trying to make sure its not an ectopic pregnancy. Have you done a pregnancy test recently? Is it negative or positive?

Yes sir and its negative. The scan as well revealed nothing. But i am just trying to figure out what could have been the course. The doctor said it might be disengagement of the womb and he said its normal. How true is this? Thanks sir
    Dr. Adedayo A answered:

hi....very difficut to say .The most important to make sure its not is the ectopic pregnancy.Seems it's not. I'll be homest ,I don't know what the doctor means by disengagement of the womb.I've never heard that term before. I'M not sure why this has happened. What stage in your mentraul cycle are you?Did the pain and bleeding happen after sex? Has the pain and bleeding stopped now?

I was surprised to hear that terms, he said it means the womb shifted. I'm in my fertilisation stage, ovulation was 2days ago. There was no sexual activity when the pain started and the blood was not really much, just few drop (but clotted) and it stopped not long after and
    Dr. Adedayo A answered:

Hello....the womb doesn't shift and certainly won't be a cause of bleeding from the Vagina. It may have been ovulation that caused the pain an bleeding but certainly not a "shifting womb".

Good evening sir, thanks for the last response, I'm indeed very grateful. The abdominal pain i told you of is now like everyday occurrence now, i am presently feeling serious pain. Sir, what do you think is wrong with me? I will go to the hospital now and give you feedback later.

Depending on where the pain is,In a woman... when pain is in the lower tummy, the things we look for are mainly ectopic pregnancy,PID, twisted or ruptured Ovarian cysts and urine infect ions. these are the major causes. When was your last menses if I may ask?
