i understand ur worries. sometimes, medical diagnosis has to be reassessed if theres no improvent despite treatment. u may not necessarily hve to see a paediatrician. all you need is a good doctor who will take proper history and examine your child. wrong medications essentially make illness persists. if the drugs are safe for the age group, the downside essentially will be the side effects and the risk of microbial resistance. u need to see a doctor to examine his chest.if need be, a repeat malaria test(cos of the possibility of resistant malaria) maybe carried out. A chest xray may also be done as deemed necessary by the doctor. i wish ur child good health.cheers.
