Hello, it sounds like you may be having a urinary tract infection. WHAT you should do is to get a urine test done as well as a culture and sensitivity. A LAB will do this for you.the reuslt too should show the antibiroc you can take. However it may be necessary to do other tests like an abdominal/pelvic scan and blood sugar test to check for other causes or complications.

I hope it's not something crazy or something though and doesn't require a big process for cure cos I'm kinda scared of all these infections..How could I have come across this if I may ask?

HI, tueth be told, its quite unlikely for a young man to get a urinary tract infection except he is sexually active or there is some structural problem inside that the scan will pick up. But first thing is to even decide if this is an infection...a simple inexpensive urinalysis can give a clue.

Alright ,Thank you for your swift replies. I really appreciate. I'm not so much of a young man I am 23 years old so I'm sexually active. I started using Bicham Ampiclox last night ,would that help in any way before I go for a lab test on Monday. I have a great concern about it because I didn't give it much thoughts until recently, I felt it's something that would eventually go away so I'm kinda nervous bout the lab test cos I've not been to a hospital for close to 15 years now .

Hi,well if its an infection, the ampiclox may mask the result and treatment may not be adequate. Its normal to feel anxious about getting a test done. If you are sexualky active without protection(condoms), then these are some of the things that you are at risk of as well as other sexually transmitted diseases like chalmydia, gonorrhoea ,hiv ,hep B etc. HOWEVER,this could be a regular UTI from an organsm such as Ecoli. A test will be thw right place to start and I can't encourage the use of antibiotic without a proper indication.

I'm sexually active with my girlfriend and she doesn't experience this kind of thing but anyway thank you very much for enlightening me because I felt it might have been caused by a bad habit of me not going to the toilet often even when pressed . I'd go for the test on Monday, I have a minor issue I'm currently in Osogbo can you recommend or do you have a good hospital I can visit for this test cos I am not yet conversant here. Thank you very much

I won't expect that to cause such symptom's. HOWEVER,if you did do the test, and nothing showed up,I won't be surprised if this habit may have something to do with it. Let's see what your urine dip and mcs result says.you may also need to do a fasting blood sugar too.
