Oh hello Dr. Akeem I hope I can ask you my medical related questions. I have this tear in my anus and the skin tag is dropping which is quite irritating and lately some other skin tag things are showing up on my anus wall. what can it be?

Hello.sir, please feel free to ask your medical questions. Hi,like you have Said you likely have a skin tag.this.is basically harmless over grown skin. Without seeing it,I cannot differentiate it from warts or hemorrhoids. ofcourse warts are likely a result of sexual exposure and hemorrhoids are a result of constipation and they cause bleeding..If they are simple Anal skin tags, then they are harmless and may actually be caused by previous hemorrhoids(pile) or fissures(tear)..

did you see the surrounding small tags along the walls of the anus? do you think there is anything I should do to get rid of it or any cream or medications to administer in order for it to go as it scatters all over my groins too. Please what can I do?
    Dr. Adedayo A answered:

If its all over your groin too and you are sexually active,I won't rule out warts. either way, attempts at removal should be done by your dermatologist. methods include burning off, laser treatment, freezing off. The only difference between the treatment for the two is that warts MAY come back after treatment.

Hi....the two main options are 1.Imiquimod Imiquimod is a type of cream usually recommended to treat larger warts. It works by helping stimulate your immune system into attacking the warts. You apply the cream to the warts and then wash it off after 6 to 10 hours. This should be done three times a week. 2.Podophyllin...special application stick is used to draw up the correct dosage of the liquid, which is then dripped on to the wart. You may experience some mild irritation when you apply the liquid or cream to the wart. Cream is usually advised for areas where applying liquid is difficult. Treatment with podophyllotoxin is based on cycles. The first treatment cycle involves applying the medication twice a day for three days. You may not be able to apply the podophyllin yourself as it can seriously burn you if done incorrectly. If these are just regular skin tags, then I doubt the two above will work.its got to be some sort of surgery.

Hi. I've also heard of analysis cancer in the past. and am pretty scared. Can you please throw more light on the anal cancer thing and also the difference between anal warts, anal cancer and anal fissures. Possibly herrmohoids too. Thank you

ok...I'll do my BEST.... Anal cancer is a rare type of cancer that affects the very end of the large bowel. The symptoms of anal cancer are often similar to more common and less serious conditions affecting the anus, such as piles (haemorrhoids) and anal fissures (small tears or sores). risk.factors include infection with human papilloma virus (HPV) – a common and usually harmless group of viruses spread through sexual contact, which can affect the moist membranes lining your body having anal sex or lots of sexual partners – possibly because this increases your risk of developing hpv. smoking Anal fissure is simply A TEAR. Haemorrhoids are swollen blood vessels in the anal canal that can bleed. Anal warts are caused by HPV...hard to treat as it frequently re-occurrs and it's sexually transmitted.
