Hello madam.sorry for your loss.glad to hear you are pregnant again. Things to avoid include 1.dont take any random medication that has not been prescribed by your doctor.when it is,always cross check with your doc that its safe to take. 2.Avoid meals like cheese, under or uncooked fish(sushi) or meat, unpasteurized milk, vitamin A,raw eggs, alcohol and smoking. Take your folic acid.

Is it safe to have sex at this early stage or what 're the sex position required? what's your take on bending down and house chores @ this early stage?

Hi...it's very safe to have sex.Luckily, having sex during this early stage is not a cause for miscarriages and neither is doing house chores. You really can use any sex position you find comfortable and continue to have sex till delivery is imminent . the causes of miscarriages include chromosome abnormalities in developing babies, hence the body gets rid of the abnormal forming baby. diabetes, syphilis, thyroid disease, problems with the womb(2nd trimester). However ,I will say, take it easy generally. But you don't have to stop house chores. when miscarriages become recurrent(3 or more losses),then doctor will start looking for the causes mentioned above.

what can cause abnormalities chromosomes in developing baby and how can someone prevent it.

Hello again...some of the risk factors which predispose a woman to having pregnancies with chromosomal abbormalities include 1.Being 35 years of age and above when one gets pregnant. We also advice against smoking, drinking alcohol, taking medications not prescribed and double checked with your doctor.Id like you to know that women naruralky think its something they have done thst has cause a miscsrrisge. That's not true.that goes to show its most times not preventable.I'm afraid, If its going to happen, its going to happen. About 97% of women who have early miscarriages go on to have normal pregnancies. Beyond this, there is not much else you can do. Ensure you on your folic acid 400micrograms daily, eat well,

Is it advisable to use calcium and ferrous aside the folic acid and when can I start ante natal. Then what's your advice in taking bike/motorcycle at this early stage..

hi...the only important supplement at this stage in pregnancy is really your folic acid.Folic acid is most important till the 12th week.after this ,you can continue taking it.calcium and ferrous(except you have confirmed low blood levels) are not necessary. You can just buy the regular PREGNACARE(it contains all the supplements you need in one daily tablet)... there is No harm in taking bike or travelling by road at this stage. You can start antenatal now.The earlier, the better.10weeks is an excellent time to do your booking appointment .you will be given 4 weekly appointments till you are about 32weeks after which it becomes 2 weekly.
