Question Asked:

"How possible is it that I was away for 2 months, to be precise I traveled on the 28th of October 2016 and returned 1st of January 2017. My wife just finished her menses on the 25th of December 2016 which is 5 days before my arrival. We made love repeatedly, then the following month we discovered she's pregnant. We went for scan as requested and it says the pregnancy is 6 weeks old. Meaning she took in on the 2nd of January. Is it possible that 7 days after her menstruation she can conceive. "

Good evening, If you are sure of these dates and the scan is also accurate, then, there is no need doubting if she can concieve 7 days after menstruation or not. This is a sensitive issue, can you tell me her cycle and the number of days she normally see her flow? This is important. Reply me.

Okay. I will like to make some things clear to you. First, given the dates and data that you presented, 7 days after her menstruation should fall under her safe period meaning the period she has a LOWER CHANCE OF GETTING PREGNANT. This doesn't mean she cant conceive during her safe period but the chances are very low. With that, I will say it's possible. Another thing you have to consider is the accuracy of the scan, usually there is a room for error margin of about plus or minus 2weeks. This means the pregnancy is either 2 weeks older or 2 weeks younger than the machine predicted. Lastly I will like to know when exactly she started her menses in December and the day you did the scan in January. I will await your reply
