Hello madam...it must be stressful. Have you tried to send the sputum you bring up to the lab. What's the colour of the sputum you bring up.Have you been in contact with anyone with a cough before that.especially a tuberculosis cough. My suggestion would be, get the sputum tested for bacteria and tuberculosis.some Lagos state General hospitals offer this service if you are in Lagos. they may also ask you to do a chest Xray. If all these come back normAl. then we may be looking at causes like asthma, reflux disease, viral cough, postnasal drips

ok....That's the first thing to do then. Let's get the sputum tested.Apart from the cough, have you got any chest pain, any trouble breathing, any wheezing fever, runny nose?

i don't have chest pain and trouble breathing,i don't understand what you mean by wheezing fever, but am feeling pain in my throat if i swallow something or cough since yesterday.

Hello wheezing is a noisy whistle like sound asthma patient make when breathing. Fever is high body temperature. Ok,this cough may just be a recurring viral illness. Hopefully the sputum test to the lab can tell us a lot more. For now you can get lozenges or dequadine sweets and take that regularly. If there is need for antibiotics, the sputum test will say. Post viral illness coughs can last weeks in some people and is usually nothing but a nuisance.

I don't have noisy wheezing, i treated malaria and typhoid last month, but am having slight headache.
    Dr. Adedayo A answered:

Ok...if its slight,I'd advice you take paracetamol and rest. Typhoid I'd over diagnosed and over treated in Nigeria. Its unlikely your headache is due to typhoid. If you are not having a fever, its also unlikely malaria. Take some paracetamol and rest.

Do u mean the headache is due to typhoid? where can i do the sputum test?

Hi again,no ,I meant the headache is likely due to stress since it only.just started... I think you should do it in a reputable lab.unfortunately, I'm not sure where.mecure is good big kab but you are likely to need a doctors prescription which you can only get if you see one 1st.otherwise, some good labs will do it for you anyway.
