Hello, Yes it could be migraine but I won't want you to limit it at that. Other conditions like hypertension, stress, infection like malaria can cause headache. When last did you check your blood pressure? What was the value?

I understand your concern. I will like you to answer the following questions; Like how many times in a year do you have this type of headache? Do notice if anything happens to you before the headache starts? What do you normally do to make it relief you? Is the headache worse enough to disturb your daily life? Is there any of your relation with this type of headache? Please answer the questions carefully, it will help me advise you better.

It occurs 3 to 4 times a week my maternal grandfather had went through such later they said it was brain tumour if i take cafargot i feel a little bit relieved but some times i have to take pills that can make me sleep before i feel better for some times

You need to be evaluated fully for migraine by a Neurologist. Unfortunately I can't carry out such evaluation here you. So, you need to see your doctor. Continue the carfergot for now. You can add paracetamol and Diclofenac tablets for optimal pain relief. I guess the headache is the main reason why you couldn't sleep and once it's well taken care of, sleep will come. Take care
