The result that you sent is OK sir. All the parameters tested for are within normal limit. There is no cause for worry. Have you done a liver scan? You should do that too. Take care

Thanks for the answer and I'm glad my liver test is OK. I haven't done liver scan and I think I will do it this week. Please is there any other organs that can be damaged with the hepatitis virus?. Should I be worried about anything in my body because of this virus?? Another issue bothering me is that, There's a sharp pain behind my back ( Upper left flank ) and it has escalated to my spinal cord area. I feel pain whenever I try to shift my back out. I really don't know where the pain is coming from. I visited a government hospital and I was told it's none of my organs because a doctor at a private hospital told me I had infection in my kidney. Please what do you suggest?. I'm just scared to death.

Your worry is not out of place. The hepatitis virus infects only the liver. It is when the condition is poorly managed that other organs can be involved as an extension. The doctor you met at the private hospital is not wrong as a renal problem can give similar symptom but with other features like painful urination, fever and so on. If the other doctor feels it's not your kidneys, then, let's hope so. Since I can't see or touch you, I will have to accept their diagnoses. The scan you want to do should also show the state of your kidneys. I will suggest you do the scan and see the outcome. You can take analgesic for pain relief. If you are not an ulcer patient, tab Diclofenac 100mg twice daily with food will help. Don't be scared

Good morning Dr Idris, I have this pain around my left shoulder blade area and it has been so painful. I have gone to do a chest X-ray and I was told I have a lungs infection. I was treated with Antibiotics at a private hospital but still yet I still feel the pains. please what can I do?

Good evening sir, I'm so sorry my reply took so long. I'm afraid the chest xray you did might not address the problem with your shoulder. I will like to find out more about the pain though: - is the pain sudden or it was as a result of an injury you sustained recently or long ago?

I started having this pain since 2016 and it won't just to away. I'm tired of using pain killer. I'm kind of used to the pain but I don't like the way it's there. I didn't have any injuries or whatsoever. it just started when I was at nysc camp. The pain generates right underneath my shoulder blade. when I went to do X-ray, The doctor said it shows that I have Lungs infection and have been treated but still the pain is there. Please what do you suggest I do at this point?

Good morning, I will strongly suggest you see an orthopedic surgeon. You might be having a problem with the structures around your shoulder region. Since the pain has not responded to analgesic, the cause of the pain is still there.
