Hello madam, it's not advisable to self medicate worse off with kids. fever plus pustular rash as I can see in the pic you attached is not good to ignore.dont just go out and buy antibiotics, take your little one to hosp for proper evaluation. cheers

thanks doc. I meant ribena. he doesn't really take water he just nibbles with the bottle teeth but I thought if i add a little ribena to the water he will take it. I want to know if it's ok to do that since he's just 5 months (well some people told me to add ribena to his water just to give it flavour so he can drink it). I'm tempted to cos now that he takes solid he will need more water

the truth is there is no perfect answer to that question. there are drinks specially prepared for babies, if you check baby section of any big store you'll find it.but plain water is still you best option.try to initiate the process by offering water only when baby is hungry, offer water first before breast milk. gradually the baby will get used to taking water.

good morning doctor. happy New month. My baby is 5 month. for some days now he has refused taking his food both home made cereal and canned cereal. I'm kinda worried cos he's looking weight

Hello madam, when kids start refusing food it means something is not right. most times they have something in the mouth like tonsillitis or adenoids or simple malaria or they are teething. there could be varied causes so please let a doctor see your baby. its difficult to guess what is wrong with babies without examining them.

Ok. actually took him to the hospital last week and he was not diagnosed of anything and he has not shown any symptoms really and has not refused breast milk which is not sufficient enough for him again. I'm bothered because he's weight is been affected.

Hello madam, good afternoon to you. good to know your kid still takes breast milk well. it might just be an issue with weaning which I guess you might be trying to do. just keep trying with the added supplements but give as much breast milk as possible. you can also speak to other mothers as some might be able to advice you just based on experience. take care
