Hello. Sorry about this. Do the sores at any time contain fluid? Have you noticed same sores any where else on your body? Any history of sexual activity recently? Any headaches or neck stiffness? Awaiting your response.

Thanks. No I haven't seen any other sores anywhere and no, no sexual activity. My neck does get stiff, but only a little more than usual. I usually just crack it. Also, there aren't really any fluids, although anytime I apply pressure to it ( using tissue) there is a little. Thanks

Hello. Do you get any tingling, itching or burning around your mouth? Do you notice the sores gets worse with exposure to sunlight or when you are stressed? Can you attach a picture? Is the neck stiffness a recent occurence? Any fever? You may be having what is commonly known as cold sores or herpes simplex virus infection. Response to the questions will be helpful.

Sometimes, there is a burning sensation around the sores. As far as I can tell, sunlight and stress don't really have an effect on them. Also, I haven't had any fevers lately, but my sleep pattern is a bit short and irregular at times. Overall, no stress.

It is probably due to herpes simplex. If the neck stiffness is recent and severe, you need to see a Doctor for treatment as it can affect the brain in rare cases. There are over the counter antiviral creams that you can get for cold sores from a pharmacy. Take care
