Good morning sir. I am sorry about this. Is this a recent occurrence or it has also been this way? Some of the causes can be smoking, alcohol consumption and stress. Another problem can be if you are on medications for other conditions like diabetes. Performance anxiety is actually a more common cause of premature ejaculation. Are you worried about your performance? Do you engage in foreplay? Do you have any marital issues with your wife that may be causing this? Awaiting your response. Thank you for subscribing to Kangpe.

Thanks Doc. It has been happening for over 2 years now. I don't smoke, I don't take alcohol and am not on any special medications. I do engage in serious foreplay before sex. I am concerned about my performance although I don't have any marital issues with my wife.
    Dr. Olabisi A answered:

Anxiety may be the issue, you should focus more on enjoying the encounter. Sometimes talking about your fears and expectations with your spouse can ease the tension. Try to relax more often too, enagage in other activities like games or outings and being more open should help too. I will not advise the use of medications at your age since you do not have any of the issues I mentioned. The problem of your body getting to the drugs and you not being able to perform without it can be devastating. All the best

Hello Doc. My baby is having catarrh and she is just a month old. What do we do?
    Dr. Olabisi A answered:

You can try gentle steam inhalation for her. Do not give drugs please. If it is really bad and it is affecting her breathing, she needs to see a Pediatrician.

Please Doc. how is the steam inhalation done? A clear explanation from you. will be appreciated because I don't have idea on the steam inhalation especially that my baby is just 1 month old.
    Dr. Olabisi A answered:
You just need to block any gap that may be there in your bathroom and then turn on hot water. Get a towel and wrap it around your head. Let your baby sit in your lap and spend 15 minutes in the bathroom inhaling the steam. You may consider giving a gentle massage to soothe your baby. Elevate your baby's head with towels, do not give any medications and make sure you maintain good hygiene. If it doesn'timprove you should see a Pediatricain. I hope you find this helpful.

Is this position OK? Do we need to remove all her clothing? What temperature is required of the water? Or how do we check the required hotness of the water? See the picture attached for details. Thanks
    Dr. Olabisi A answered:

Hello. You should remove her clothes. Close all the doors and windows in the bathroom. The water should be hot and bringing out steam. You or your wife should sit and hold her in your laps. I am sorry I can not view the attachment. Can you try sending it again.

    Dr. Olabisi A answered:
No. Hold her facing up in your laps. She is too young to be face down. She will still be able to inhale the steam for 15minutes once you close all doors and windows. If you don't have running water you can place a big bowl of boiling water in the bathroom. Take care

Thanks Doc. My wife stopped post delivery bleeding yesterday i.e a month and few days after birth and she had tear during delivery but all the thread for sowing d tear has not been completely removed. We both have d urge to have sex. can we proceed or how long should we wait? She started performing her Salat today - Alhamdulillah

Good to hear sir.You can proceed if you are both ready. But you need to use a form of contraception if you are not ready for another baby yet. She should request at the family planning clinic whenever she goes for her postnatal clinic. You should both be there so that the different options will be discussed and both of you can choose the one that suits you. All the best.

Hello Doc. I had foreplay with my wife this afternoon and she stimulated my penis until I ejaculated. Since then I have been so week and even up till now body ache all around. Am sure this is not normal as it's been happening for long. There was a time I had to take Viagra but still I released on time. It seems the Viagra didn't work for me. Is it that I have a medical issue?
    Dr. Olabisi A answered:
Hello. It is normal for you to feel weak after ejaculation. There is a time frame called the refractory period before you can be able to sustain another erection after the first. If viagra did not work even though it is not advised, the problem is likely anxiety. You can also use the start-stop or the squeeze technique. You stop when you are about to ejaculate, wait about 60seconds and start again. I hope this helps.

OK! How do I perform the squeeze technique? Maybe I can combine it with the start-stop
    Dr. Olabisi A answered:

You squeeze the part between the shaft and the glans, it helps delay ejaculation.

Hello Doc. I have this problem. Each time I do little extra work, I feel headache. Am a teacher and I thought it was stress but the work I do now is far less than what I was used to doing. Most often than not I treat malaria and I treated typhoid just about a month ago. What could be the cause of the frequent headaches?
    Dr. Olabisi A answered:
Hello. Headache is a non specific symptom. Do you have any other symptoms like recurrent cold or nasal congestion? Any tenderness on the face or pain when you bend down? Awaiting your response.

No cold. Nasal congestion occurs once in a while No tenderness on my face. Pain when I bend? You mean pain in the head or waist. if it is in the head, no pain but once in a while waist may pain when I bend
    Dr. Olabisi A answered:
Ok. That rules out sinusitis. Do you get enough sleep at least 6 hours, also make sure to have breakfast as low blood sugar can also cause headaches. You should have a repeat malarial parasite and full blood count done at a general hospital to find an underlying cause. All the best

You did not comment about the blood count result. The Lab technician told me that the malaria result is insignificant and that it only shows drug induced immunity from my last treatment of malaria. He asked me to go and treat typhoid that a titire of 1/160 is

Hello. The blood count is within normal limits. Salmonella typhi was not shown, that is the causative organism for typhoid fever, a more accurate test will be stool or blood culture. Do you have other symptoms like abdominal pain, diarrhea or vomiting?

If you have a blood culture done for salmonella typhi, that is a better test. Sorry about that. You can see a Doctor for the investigation and appropriate antibiotics for treatment. Make sure you have breakfast and get enough sleep. You can take some analgesic for pain relief.

Hello Doc. I am a Biomathematician. My major area is Mathematical epidemiology and am currently working on Dynamics and spread of Toilet infections. Can toilet infection spread from human to human? If yes, in what ways? What is your expert view on toilet infection? Thanks
    Dr. Olabisi A answered:

Hello. From a medical point of view, toilet infection is not real. Most toilet infections people complain of is really a sexually transmitted infection. If you however use a dirty toilet and have a poor hygiene then you may have other infections from these. I hope you find this helpful.

Then what do we call itchy vagina discharge from a girl that has not been penetrated (i.e have not had sex) before? Can that be termed as STD/STI? I don't understand
    Dr. Olabisi A answered:

Vaginal itching can be due to the way the genitals is washed. Use of soap or feminine wash can cause opportunistic infection such as candidiasis to thrive causing itching.

Good day Doc. Just to get this clearer. My wife put to bed 6 weeks ago and she took her birth around the 5th week i.e she stopped post-birth bleeding. It was her first issue and the birth came with tear which was stitched and a thread from the stitch fell off after about 3 weeks. My questions: 1) Is that the whole thread used for the stitch that fell off or it may still remain? 2)We feel like having intercourse but we are afraid if the tear won't hurt (although she is not feeling any pain now). Can we go ahead? Or how can we be sure that the tear has healed? 3)We plan using Condom as our birth control technique. Hope it won't hurt the stitch! 4) We normally use KY gel as lube during intercourse, can we still use it? Thanks
    Dr. Olabisi A answered:
Hello. The sutures used are usually absorbable meaning there are made from biological materials that the body will degarde naturally and absorb. So the remaining may have been absorbed. If she is not in pain and you are both ready you can go ahead. Condoms will not affect the stitches as long as it is healed and she doesn't feel pain. And you can use KY gel to increase lubrication. All the best

She is past 6 weeks after delivery, so it should be healed. If she is not in pain that is also a sign that the stitches are healed.

Hello Doc. My 6 weeks old baby will sometimes behave as if she wants to vomit but nothing will come out from her mouth. She does that with some force like someone trying to sneeze but I guess its vomiting but nothing usually. It normally happens when she sleeps and it occurs about twice day at a frequency of about 6 times in a week. Is this normal? Or what could be the cause?

Hello. As long as you ensure she burps she should be alright. Place her face up when she sleeps and make sure her bed is free of bed covers or toys that can obstruct her breathing. Babies generally have an underdeveloped lower esophageal sphincter and if it doesnt affect her feeding or breathing she should be alright. It will resolve with time.

Hello Doc. Some years ago (I think about 10 years) I do see real blood when ever I finish urinating. it happened for quite some times and I was feeling shy to say it. I later complained to a pharmacist and he gave me some drugs which stops the blood and since then I don't see blood again when I urinate. What may have leaf to that? Could it be part of the reasons why I ejaculate in less than 2 minutes when I have sex? Also, at times when I sleep, I will even start to bedwet before rushing to the toilet though it has reduced too. What could be wrong?
    Dr. Olabisi A answered:

Hello. Blood in urine is called hematuria. Hematuria is usually due to a prostate or bladder infection and should be investigated. You should see a Doctor specifically an Urologist for evaluation and management. All the best
