Good afternoon. Sorry about that. Are you having heavy menstrual or vaginal bleeding? Any abdominal pain. The size of the fibroid from the report is small and can be ignored if you are not having any symptoms. But you are advised to go for further test like high vaginal swab mcs and urine mcs because of the fluid collection in your pouch of Douglas

Hello. From the location and size of the fibroid, it's not going to prevent you from getting pregnant. Take care

Thanks but l have some more questions. At about 13 years of age, l went through a minor surgery to remove a small lump from my left breast. Am 39 years now. l don't feel any lump or discomfort in my breast but l feel l should do a mammogram . What do you think? Also l have swollen legs caused by filariasis, what else can l do for legs apart from wearing my compression stockings?

Hello. Yes you can do a mammogram to rule out any malignant change in your breast. Try to do this on a yearly basis. Sorry not much I can do about your leg. Please continue wearing the compression socks to aid lymph and blood drainage from your legs.

Thanks but l just want to ask you if mammogram exposes one to cancer as it it is rumored . Even from the internet some news feeds from health magazines propound such theory. That the rays transfers cancer .

Hello. No it does not predispose you to cancer but rather reveal it if present. The amount of radiation you are exposed to is monitored and not enough to cause you breast cancer. Please go ahead and have the mammogram.
