Hello, In simple term, chronic granulomatous mastitis is an inflammatory condition that developed as a result of likely subtle breast infection that has likely resolved. The mass developed after your body has taken care of the infection. It is likely benign from what I can see in the report. If the size is however big and you want it to be removed, it can be removed. Let to me, all you need is analgesia for now.

if I don't wish to remove it, will it dissolve by it self ? or will it be a problem in the future?

Hello, The lesion can reduce in size. The chances of it 'dissolving' is slim. It can also become calcified, meaning calcium elements can be deposited in it to make it hard. It's very unlikely it develops into a problematic lesion in the future. As I've said earlier, the features according to your report appears benign. The lesion can be excised as I've said ealier if you want it to be removed. Steroid therapy has also been found to be of help. You can see your General surgeon to discuss other available options. Hope it's clear?
