Goodmorning, sorry about that. Please what were the tests carried out and what were the drugs prescribed? Staphylococcus isn't the only cause of sexually transmitted disease. You need to have a urinalysis, urine mcs and a urethral swab done and your wife also need to do a vaginal swab MCS. You need to both ensure to get treated and fully complete the dosage of drugs prescribed. This will help to prevent a recurrence. Take care

Ook. But if your wife didn't get treated the infection will definitely reoccur because she might still be having the bacteria. The two of you should get tested and treated together.

Do you mean just a pack of the prescription can cure me because I took just a pack along with other drugs may be for pain and other stuffs... Diclopac, Vitacap and others as attached.

I mean you need to do the tests I mentioned earlier with your wife and also get the drugs to treat it. The treatment usually takes about 2 weeks

Hello Doctor, evening to you. Pls what could be the cause of nose bleeding in children? My two sons fall victim of that one after the other. Secondly: How can such be treated? Thanks.
    Dr. Tomiwa A answered:

Do they pick their nose often? Local trauma to the vessels in the nose can cause it, vascular malformation in the blood vessels in the nose can also cause it. Breathing in of dry air can also be a cause. If they are fond of picking the nose, they need to stop. You should also take then to see an ENT surgeon to look into their nose to decide if further interventions will be needed.

Grateful doctor, one thing I notice in them is that of the nose picking. More so due to the harmattan, such may occur. But any drug to that? though it's drying off gradually. Thanks.

There is no need for drug once the cause can be prevented but if it gets persistent they will need to see a doctor as the medication needed to stop the bleeding will be applied by the doctor. Also ensure whenever the bleeding occurs, their head isn't tilted backward but rather forward and pinch the tip of the nose.

So Doctor, I forgot to note it also that there is sore (wound) in the nostrils
    Dr. Tomiwa A answered:

If they don't have any foul smelling discharge from the nose. They wouldn't need any antibiotics. The sore could be as a result of persistent picking of the nose and the dry weather.

Hello Doctor. I have a confession to make, and I need your help too. I started masticating when I was in secondary school far back in the 90s and I just decided to stop the trash late last year... November to be precises. I made this decision as a result of my look...now looking more older than my age and its disgustingly. Now that my decision is made, I wish to know some diets and drugs to at least cool me down off my present look.

GoodAfternoon, masturbation cannot make you look older than your age. Eating more fruits and vegetables will help you fresher. Also avoid stressing too much and have more rest and sleep should help with this. Take care

Lovely, thanks Doctor. I also noticed at my 44 (current age) I have started growing gray hair on the sides of my head, the chest and the pubic. Any reason for this too? so sorry for inconvenience pls.
    Dr. Tomiwa A answered:

No inconvenience feel free to ask your questions. Regarding the grey hair, it's sometimes genetics. Some people have more grey hair at younger age than some other people. So its mostly not caused by any medical condition just a normal occurrence based on genetics. Take care

Good evening Doctor. pls what could have be the cause of one sweating half body i.e the body is divided into two longitudinally while the left side is dry, the right side is sweating vigorously? Pls need your help. Thanks.
    Dr. Tomiwa A answered:
The sweating is controlled by sympathetic nervous system, the same involuntary part of the nervous system that controls the 'automatic' components of the body like heart, intestines, pupils etc.  Goodevening. The sympathetic nervous system controls sweating. So absence of sweating on one half of the body indicates possibility of an injury to sympathetic nerves on that side of the body. You should see a neurologist who can assist you in finding a cause and solution for your condition.

Thanks. Hope this is by no means have any association with stroke, diabetics or any other illness that can cause a permanent disability? Sure I will seek help as you advised.
    Dr. Tomiwa A answered:

Goodmorning. It actually could be either of them but stroke would present with more severe symptoms like paralysis of that side of the body as well so it's unlikely to be stroke. Diabetes too can affect the nerves causing a neuropathy. So you can also check your fasting blood sugar. Take care
