Question Asked:

"I had an abortion in 2013, September to be precise and since then have been having infection which i have treated twice. I did a pelvic scan last year around September and the Doctor prescribe Docycline capsules 100mg and Tinidazole tablets 500mg, which i have use but i still feel itching and little of spoting sometimes Here is a snap shot of the test i did but am not sure if is clearer enough, so let me just say it. The uterus is anteverted; slightly bulky in size with an submucosa nodular fibroid mass measuring 2.7cm/3.3cm The uterine cavity; No gestational sac seen and the cavity appears distorted. The ovaries; not seen obscured by inflammatory reactions. The Adnexia; inflammatory reactions noted with loss of interfaces. Urinary bladder; this appears normal in outline, wall thickness and no stone seen. "

I can see you have sent in an attachment, but its a pity I can't view it.From the test results and the treatment given to you, like you have pelvic inflammatory disease.the spotting you see is likely vaginal discharge, may be brownish.note that this condition can be very difficult to treat due to its high recurrence rate.for how many days did you use the initial drugs?they must be taken for at least 10days minimum.there is an additional drug which should be added.Do you have multiple sex partners?are you married?this condition if not properly manage may lead to infertility in future.respond to my questions and let's see what we can do to help you.waiting for your response.

Am not yet married, single and i have just one patner but the thing is, is it possible for him to take the drugs with me and as for the discharge am having. Its not brownish but creamy like, i don't want to have issues when am ready to start having my kids. And again why does it comes back, i mean is it normal to treat an infection and the treatment only last for months. Why is it so?

it is possible to treat an infection and then its back within a month,if it was not treated with the right drugs,if you didn't follow the proper dosage regimen,if the risk factors are still there(the cause).I'm the case of pelvic inflammatory disease, your partner,if without symptoms, does not have to take drugs with you.creamy discharge is in support of it.now, let's commence the treatment over again, this time with better commitment. Buy tab ciprofloxacin 500mg twice a day for one week, tab flagyl 400mg thrice a day for 10days,cap doxycycline 100mg twice a day for 10days,mycoten vaginal insert one daily for 6days(this is for the itching which can be from coexisting vaginal candidiasis).Do not have unprotected sex for now.Ensure you use condom.then let's see how you respond.Risk factors you must avoid include douching, use of tampons, having sex with a man who has multiple sex partners or vice versa.

Ok Doctor thanks is there a way I can change the flagil to another, the thing is I don't like that drug because of is bitterness. The drugs you prescribe now, are my to use them the same time. That is if am to follow up the routine, please. As unprotected sex, yes i don't use Condom because my man doesn't like it. I promise to stay away until i finished taking my drugs.

that's good.good you are determined to complete the treatment. Sorry, there is no replacement for the flagyl.no one likes the taste but you must use it because of what you stand to benefit.Do you knw that you are at risk of sti if you have unprotected sex especially if you are not married?yes, you are to use all the drugs same time.ciprofloxacin for one week, mycoten insert for 6days,the other two drugs for 10days.

you are welcome.you can ask your partner if he has any symptoms relating to the urinary tract so he can be treated accordingly. you may be sharing the imfection between you two. However, the issue is sensitive,so you need to be gentle while you discuss. You sure know how to talk to each other and avoid quarels.Meanwhile, your profile reads that you are a male.do adjust.
