"I have a four year old daughter who has been diagnosed with sickle cell. I feel terrible with myself. I have been giving her discovite, folic acid, astymin and malaria prevention drugs. Please what next should I do. I feel like I am losing it. She has not been sick. I am really scared because my 2 year old son complains of hand pain once in a while, I am scared of taking him for a genotype test . Please help me "

    Hello, sorry about that. You have to bite the bullet and get your son tested. Register your daughter at a good hematology clinic where she will be properly managed, I will advice a general or teaching hospital. Research is improving daily on their management. Don't be dismayed.
