Knowing the pattern of growth of your hair is important. Over time is you feel a change in the usual pattern that calls for concern, am sure the first thing to consider are the products you apply. If those products don't cause your worries, then you can see a Dermatologist for further evaluation.
Below are likely causes of hair loss: stress, pregnancy, weight loss, skin conditions like psoriasis, thyroid disorders etc.
You can also consult a Saloonist or Beautician for more evaluation as often times the culprit lies in the chemicals/products available in the market.
As a recap, unless there's a marked loss of hair, the best way to know your if your hair is healthy is to know what's normal for you. After ruling out chemical causes, you consider the above causes.
