Hi,good afternoon. first of all HBsAg cannot be detected in urine. Are you still lactating? If yes, that might be the reason you period has not returned. did you have any complication after delivery?. you should do an abdominal scan, then maybe a prolactin level if you are not breastfeeding again. also see a gynaecologist for proper evaluation. cheers

Thanks for the prompt response.there was no complication while birthing and it was a normal delivery...am no longer lactating, the milk stopped when I decided to take the baby off bmilk at 14months. what is the essence of urinalysis?

urinalysis is usually a fast test to detect if one has an ongoing urinary tract infection as it tests for some parameters present in infection, can also you used to detect elevated sugar in urine which could be a pointer to diabetes. hormonal imbalance could be the cause of your amenorrhea, since you are no longer lactating and there was no complications after birth it's expected that your period should have resumed by now. However the time limit is still short considering the fact that you just stopped breastfeeding two months ago. You could wait it out or for the next one month and see but if it's really giving you a cause for concern then I would advice you see a gynaecologist in your area.cheers
