Hello, did u have a scan or a urine MCS done? If what you you are treated for is a urinary tract infection, you might need to take d antibiotics for about 2 wks. However, if it doesnt resolve see your doctor again to review the medications. Also drink a lot of water. Take care

a scan was done to detect the fluid on the kidney, but when i started to take the antibiotics last thursday, on saturday i started feeling like my bladder is always full feeling like to urinate up to this moment, i just wanted to be sure is a result of the antibiotics

So sorry about dat sir, if i get wat fluid on the kidney means its most likely you have hydrocalyces which is fluid accumulation in the kidney. I'm sure the doctor who attended to you must have taken time to explain things to you. Fluid accumulation in the kidney can be caused by an infection which is what d doctor is treating you for. Kidney Stones can also cause an obstruction leading to fluid accumulation. And so on and so forth. So the antibiotics is not the cause of your frequent urination, it jst be a physiologic response to your increased water intake. I hop this helped.. If u have more questions, feel free to drop dem here.. I'll be most please to answer you. Take care Sir

yea exactly the way he explain it after the scan, he said only to the right kidney but small amount of fluid, can this required surgery to be permanently corrected or antibiotics can also correct it?

Absolutely, it can be cured with antibiotics if d cause is an infection as i highlighted earlier. If otherwise more tests will have to be done like an IVU. It's just a series of xrays that will be done to show the whole urinary tract and how they are positioned. I saw a patient today for eg who has excessive frequent urination, we ordered an IVU which showed an ectopic kidney which is an abnormally positioned kidney causing obstruction and fluid accumulation. So complete the antibiotics and if no resolution, then we may be thinking of other things. But i assure you, its going to be alright. Take care Sir???? Once again feel free to reach me anytime you need clarifications.
