"I'm a sickle cell patient with genotype SC. A doctor once told me that getting pregnant could be a big deal for me due to my genotype. pls is there something I need to do ahead before I get ready to start having babies? I intend getting married next year.The only drugs I have been told to always use is folic acid which I have been usinh practically all my life. thank you."

    The only thing you need to do is to optimise your blood level (PCV) ahead of your pregnancy and continue using the folic acid
