"Good evening Dr. I went for scan today and here are the result. the right kidney is enlarged with diminished renal sinus and renal parenchymal echoes with poor corticomedullary differentiation. there is mild pelvicalyceal dilatation. no calculus seen. I have been advised to be drinking water always. so Dr after doing so will it heal normal as it is before and for how long it will take to heal? I am going for for a military training soon and I am on this condition I am seeking for advice from you please. and some strong medicines thanks. "

    Hello, This looks like a follow up question. I don't know your initial complain or why do went for the scan. The result of the scan shows an inflammatory process is going on in the right kidney like due to an infection. The best thing to do is to show this result to your Doctor. He might request for a urine mcs and urinalysis for further evaluation. Drinking water is no doubt good for the kidneys but in your case, it might not be enough. Take care
