Question Asked:

"Hello. I am a new mum. My daughter is 7 weeks old. Lately, she's constantly at the breast and never full until i give her formula. Also, its usually mornings she feeds well. From afternoon its this cycle of her not being full.I also noticed whenever she is done,my nipples are shaped funny. I actually have wide nipples which didn't exactly stand and gave issues earlier. I had to pump for the first 3weeks. Then it was better and she could suck from the breast though i developed sore nipples for about 2weeks plus. please help . I suspect low supply. If so,how can I increase my supply."

Hello. There's 're tips to know if your bay is breastfeeding well. Before feed, does your breast feel full and then empty after? Do you hear sounds of swallowing when your baby feeds? If yes to the above, then she's getting milk. To boost supply, you should increase demand cos as baby sucks more, you produce more milk. You can also take oat meal, tea and plenty of water during the day, resting also helps. When feeding, change sides after some minutes always watch to see fit.
