"Is it true that too much of xray scans causes cancer? I am a footballer. I fractured my left leg and i am still recovering from a sprained wrist and i had to do several xray scans. I am scared to go for more scans so I'm not at risk of cancer."

Hi, sorry about your injury. However it is true that exposure to radiation can cause cancers but at the x-ray dose. You shouldnt develop cancer because of the numerous x-rays you have done unless you have any other risk factor for developing a cancer like genetic mutations. The people working at the radiology unit may however be at risk due to repeated exposure on a daily basis if they are not properly protected or shielded. I hope this answers your question. So do your scans or xrays and recover quickly. Take care.
