Question Asked:

"Good day doctors, i have been suspecting that i may have an STI cause i have been having inching scrotum for a very long time and the creams i have been given dont work, so i went to a lab for a sti test and dey took my blood and test for syphilis, it came out negative, then they demand for semen. they said they need it to test for other STIs like gonorrhea etc. when the result came out after 48hrs they said there was growth of Staphylococcus saprophyticus in my semen. now my question is, can STI really be diagnosed from the semen? and can Staphylococcus saprophyticus b the cause of my inching and i also have premature ejaculation "

Hello, it is wrong for them to ask for your semen to test for STI, rather they should take a urethral swab especially if you're having a discharge or a urine mcs. The staphylococcus found may be a lab contaminant. I will advice you first to see a doctor who will recommend necessary tests.
