"i sweat alot while sleeping unlike d rest of my family members...at times I am told to sleep on the floor to avoid wetting the mattress..and it has been going on for a while...i don't seem to have heat rashes or anything resulting from heat...all i realize is that when i wake up...i feel cool from all the sweat on the mattress...i want to know if being the only person with this condition at home signifies illness or disorder of any sort..."

    Hello. Sweating a lot can be due to thyroid problems, thyroid is a gland located in front of the neck. Have you noticed any neck swelling? Night sweats can also be due to chronic illness like tuberculosis, have you noticed weight loss, cough or chest pain? If these are present you need to see your Doctor for proper evaluation and management. Otherwise it may be normal depending on the temperature of the room and weather conditions. Take care
