You can start by doing breast examination every month just after your monthly period ends. Pick a day that is convenient for you, for example every 3 days after your period ends.
Divide the breast into 4 parts, upper right, upper left, lower right, lower left. Examine each parts separately by checking for lump, discharge, change in the skin, anything you find please note. Do this every month for both breasts.
If you suspect you have a lump, please visit your doctor to properly examine you to be sure it's not normal. Then a piece or all of the lump will be removed (depending on the size) and sent to the lab to know what it is for sure.
The earlier you see a doctor the better.
