Question Asked:

"Hi. I am 23weeks pregnant and I have a Cardiac problem, some weeks back I bleed through the nose and I swelled up, I breath with so much difficulty and my heart beat is so loud that anyone standing close to me will hear it and very painful. My Doctors said it's as a result of the heart issue am having, they said I might not be able to push my babies the normal way and that I might go into a shock during C. S. We are confused and don't know what to do now. Please Cardiac Doctors in the house help me with ur professional advice, will it be safe if we decide to abort the babies? Or is there a possible way out for me to have my twins safe? We love this babies much and don't wish to loose them if possible pls. Help us "

Good morning madam. Sorry about this. But considering aborting the babies that you already love so much is the an option. You are in 23 weeks already, that means you have passed the threat line and in a months time, your babies can survive if born prematurely. But I encourage you to carry on, get to see a specialist Cardiologist to Co manage and plan your delivery with your doctor. That way you are assured of optimum care. For now, seek the opinion of a cardiologist to begin with. All the best.
