"hello doctors, my last period was Jan 2-7. my hubby and I had regular intercourse afterwards and even through my ovulation period. towards end of January I started having regular slight cramping, nausea but no vomitting, fatigue, high temperature , bloating and belching a lot. I did several home pregnancy tests that were negative. I also did a blood test that was also negative but the symptoms persisted for about 2 weeks. my next period should have come by February 5. My period was late by 9 days and then it came unexpectedly on Sunday Feb 14 i had strong cramps and backache for like 30 minutes and the flow has continued. what could be the problem because I was so sure I was pregnant."

Good afternoon mam, Sorry for the discomfort. Pregnancy is truly not an impossiblity considering your explanation. The symptoms might also be as a result of your menses that is about to commence. For now, pelvic ultrasound scan will the best bet in ruling out what is definitely the cause of the symptoms you are experiencing. If you were pregnant before now, some signs might be picked, if it's as a result of other problems like fibroid which I'm thinking might be another possibility, it will also be picked. You can then show your gynaecologist the result for further evaluation and proper management. Sorry once again. Take care
