Goodevening, sorry about that. Sore throat is usually can be caused either by a viral or bacterial infection. The viral is usually self limiting that is, it will resolve on its own but you will be placed on analgesic because of the severe pain that is usually involved. The bacterial cause will be associated with fever or exudate on the tonsils which will be viewed on examination by a doctor. You will be placed on both antibiotics and corticosteroids and also analgesics in this case. So i'll advise you see a doctor to have it checked out and get treated appropriately. But for home care before seeing a doctor you can do a salt water gargle and also procure an analgesic temporarily before you see a doctor. Take care.
