Question Asked:

"Good day doc in the house am having serious issue with my period it's very irregular and it doesn't flow very well, most of the time is 3 days but not too much flow but this my very last one only lasted for 2days with little flow. For a very long time now ive been having issues with infection cos there was a time i was having constant discharging and it has been treated but like 2 years back i got pregnant and i went for a scan and was told the foetus was outside the womb which they advice an evacuation and it was done cos i was afraid of having a baby with deform it was after then the whole issue of period regularities started and when i went to the hospital to complain was asked to do an abdomen scan which i did and was told i have pid, treatment was given and i completed the dose but still same thing went back to complain and the doc said i shouldnt worry that maybe it hormonal changes or hereditary still not okay with it cos my initial periods normally last for 4 days and it very regular 27days circle. So few weeks back i went to see a gynaecologist which i explained in details what happened and was hoping he would ask me to go for maybe hormonal test or something but he never did all he did was writing injections and drugs to be taken and the injections would last for almost 2weeks. Am really scared and dont know what to do am yet to start the treatment cos i had to travel and i won't be back till like 3 or 4 months time. Attached herein is my circle log. Pls i really need help cos dont pray to have fertility issue am just 27 "

Goodmorning, sorry about that. The major thing I see here is an irregularity in your cycle and also a possibility of a pelvic inflammatory disease which has been treated poorly. The irregularity in your cycle could be as a result of the PID or an imbalance in the hormone controlling your cycle. If you have a tertiary health care centre like a teaching hospital or specialist hospital I'll advise you go to one. You might need to be placed on Intravenous antibiotics and have some other test done to appropriately treat the PID and also have the hormonal assay done. Take care.
