"good evening doctor. i have hbv for d passt 3years.two years ago, i did test at luth.Ater all the d test like , lft, fecto and abdomenan scan. d doctor conclude that it is not yet time 4 treatment.d last time i went they ask me to go and do vl.as at then i hv spent all d money am having on those previous test that i did. vl cost 28k at nimr at yaba.i need to start taking treatment instead of me to go and spend that 28k.let me use it to buy hbv drugs.pls advise me on what to do."

    Well its understandable that you feel this way as anyone in your shoes will. what were the results of the other tests. It may be that what you have are antibodies and there is no reason to get treated.the reason being that sometimes a person can easily clear the initial infection.hiwever some people cannot clear this infection and become chronic carriers.these are the people that need treat meet. before treatment is needed one must be sure by doing viral load or hbvdna to detect the presence of live viruses. I would encourage you to do that . treatment takes 6 months to 1 year.its only worth it if there are actually live viruses to treat and not the antibodies . antibodies are things the body produces to fight the initial infection and rthey stay in the body long after clearing the initial infection.
